Totally 5576 feces samples from patients admitied to our hospital between the years of 1989-1990 were exarnined parasitologically. Parasites were found in average 1 1,13% of sarnples by both macroscopic and microscopic methods. Of (hese,- 20,1% (1251621) were helminths, and 79,9% (4961621) were protozoans. 38,4% of helrninths (481125) were obtained from women and 61,6% from men while 46,8% (232/496) of protozoarıs were obtained from women and 53 2% (2641496) from men.
