Pectus excavatum is the most widespread deformity of the sternum and the thoracic wall and its surgical treatment is mostly performed by cosmetic reason. Although its etio-pathogenesis has not been understood clearly, the attempt should be done at the preschool period since it shows the hope of a surgical cure indication. At the end of the surgical treatments applied to 16 patients having pectus excavatum, the superiority of the Ravitch technique was observed.
