Primary Percutaneous Intervention In 97 Year Old Patient

The part of population over 80 years old has increased in the last decades. Older population constitiutes major part of patients with cardiovascular diseases. The mortality, the morbidity and the frequency of acute coronary syndromes rise as the age of patients increases. The data related with the benefit of primary coronary intervention for old aged population is limited.Here we present 97 year old patient who applied with inferior myocardial infarction at the second hour of his chest pain and underwent to primary percutaneous intervention successfully. We wanted to discuss the current literature pertinent with our case.
