It is sometimes very difficult to distinguish between cardiovascular diseases and respiratory diseases, taking into account only physical examination findings. Symptoms of respiratory distress in premature babies may be due to congenital heart disease, congestive heart failure, hyaline membrane disease, aspiration syndrome, pneumonia, pneumothorax, lobar emphysema, pulmonary agenesis or hypoplasia and a metabolic disorder. Traditional radiology has often helped us clinically. From the wider ductus arteriosus to the fetus, the pressure of the pulmonary arterial system to the aorta is equal. Therefore, pulmonary hypertension is a feature of normal fetal circulation.
