Among the fractures of the extremities in the pe-diatric age group, supracondylar fractures of the humerus are the second most common fracture after that of the forearm. Twenty-one patient, 3 girls and 18 boys, with a supracondylar fracture who had been applied open reduction and internal fixation were enrolled into the study. Their mean age was 9.04 years. After remove! of 6 weeks postoperative casting, the patients were applied wirlpool, ult-rasound under the water active- assistive and active range of motion exercise, for 10 sessions. Func-tional improvement after rehabiltation program was statistically significant (p<0.0002). We concluded that the rehabilitation of supracondylar fractures of the humerus in children is a highly effective method in preventing complications and returning of normal function.
