Serum Alpha Toeopherol, Ascorbic Acid, Triglycerid, Tutal Cholesterol, HDL-Cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol, Urea and Creatinine Levels in Chronie Renal Faliure Patiens

Serum Alpha Toeopherol, Ascorbic Acid, Triglycerid, Tutal Cholesterol, IIDL-Cholesterol, LDL-Cholesterol, Urea and Creatinine Levels in Chronie Reno! Faliure Patiens Chronic renal fidlure patients sera were analyzed for alpha tocopherol, rucorbic acid, totrıl cholesterol, triglycerid, IDL-cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, urea and creatinine. These values were compared with those of healthy subjects. The serum samples were obtained from 35 normal healthy and 30 patients with chronic renal failure. Nortnal healthy peopk serum kvels were: alpha tocopherol 1.10 ± 0.01 mgidl, ascorbic acid 1.02 ± 0.07 mgldl, total cholestcrol 168 ± 27.09 mgidl, triglycerid 92.2 ± 32.57 ingldl, HDL-cholesterol 47.4 ± 5.23 mgldl, LDL-cholesterol 104.2 ± 27,94 urea 34.6 ± 5.18 nıglıll,. .creatinine 0.48 ± 0.09 ?right/. The serum levels of patients with chronic renal failure were: alpha tocopherol 1,104 ± 0..009 mgldl, ascorbic acid 0.47 ± 0.17 mgidl, triglycerid 204,2 ± 39.62 in►Idl, cholesterol 199.3 ± 45.73 ingidl, 11DL-cholesterol 25.93 ± 7.01 mgldl, LDL-cholesterol 125.6 ± 34.8 nıgidl, urea 223.5 ± 79.18 creatinine 10.24 ± 4.79 ingldl. The follo•ing values of patients were higher than those nf healthy subjects: iriglycerid (p<0.00I ), choksterol (p<0.005), LDL-chole►terol (p<0.01), urea (p<0.001), ceratinine (p<0.001). On the other hand, ascorbic acid and 11D1.-rholesterol values were lower (p<0.001). Alpha levels of the patients were normal.
