Between 1989 and 1992 in University of Selçuk, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgery, 12 patients were diagnosed with portal hypertension. 14 surgical intervention (3 selective and 8 nonselective shunt, 1 eosophageal transsection and 2 Sugiura-Fwagawa procedure) were peıforıned ta these patients. Except 1 oesophageal transsection and 2 Sugiura-Futagawa operation, all operations were peıformed in elective conditions. Expect 2 cases underwent Sugiura-Futagawa operation, there were no operative mortality. Ir wasn't developed the recurrent hemorrhage in following 3 mounts to 2 years.
