408 patients with sontaneous pneumothorax were treated and 26 of them were performed sur-gical bleb excision and limited pleurectomy. The traditional treatments of primary spon-taneous pneumothorax include bed rest, tube tho-racostomy, toracoscopic surgery or bleb excission and parietal pleurectomy. In secondery pneumothorax, tube thoracostomy is used without waiting. If the respiratory functions do not improved by tube thoracostomy and air le-akage continues surgical treatment should be used since the patients whith secondary pnneumothorax have not good pulmonary capacity surgical tre-atment should he tried only is chosen cases.
