Surgical Treatment of Hydatid Cyst of The Liver

In this article, the results of 141 hepatic hydatid cyst cases operated in our clinic are presented. Surgical treatment was applied 180 times to 192 liver hydatid cysts detected in 141 patients. Marsupialization 83, partial cystectomy and closure of the remaining part without drainage 70, pericystectomy 11, partial cystectomy and tunneling 10, left lateral seg-mentectomy 5, drainage of the cyst and abdominal cavity was used once. Nine of 141 hepatic hydatid cyst cases were lost, postoperative mortality was 6.4%.
