Hyperthyroid and hiypothyroid patients serum were analyzed for fructosamine, total protein and al-bumin. These values were compared with those of healthy subjects. Serums were obtained from 35 nor-mal healthy and 42 hyperthyroid, 12 hypothyroid pa-tients. Hyperthyroidic people serum levels were: fructosamine 1.99 ± 0.27 mmoIlL, total protein 7.70 ± 0.98 gldl, albumin 4.65 ± 0.63 gidi. The ser-um levels of patients with hypothyroidic were: fruc-tosamine 2.19 ± 0.44 ınnzoliL, total protein 7.64 ± 0.98 gldl, albumin 4.70 ± 0.69 gidi; normal healthy people serum levels were: fructosamine 2.20 ± 0.47 mmol/L, total protein 7.88 ± 0.84 gidi, albumin 4.79 ± 0.73 gidi. Fructosamine values of hyperthyr-oid patients were lower than those of healthy sub-jects (p<0.025). Total protein and albunıin levels of the patients were normal. A positive correlation was found bctween fructosamine and total protein (r 0305, t = 2.03) and fructosamine and albumin (r = 0.365, t = 2.482). This findings were compared with tlwse of literature.
