In a diabetic person, foot malformations frequently occur due to neuropathy, infection and vascular disorders. Radiographic destruction of bones was detected in 16 of 70 diabetic patients (10 type 1.60 type II). In 7 of these 16 patients, erythema, ulceration and gangrenous lesions were detected on the skin of the feet. Radiological destruction of the foot bones was demonstrated in 9 of 55 diabetic patients without skin lesions and gangrene. No relationship could be established between the duration of diabetes and the patient's age and foot lesions. Heart failure is the most important factor that accelerates skin lesions. Also, poor foot hygiene provokes the event. Therefore, in order to prevent complications that may occur in the diabetic foot, it is necessary to keep the patient away from foot care and provoking factors.
