This study has been carried out on 89 male factory workers at different seclions of Konya Cement Factory and on (lie control group of 42 persons. Factory workers have been classified into groups for being exposed to high (n=50) and low (n=39) concentrations of dust. Also each group has been classified according ta cigarette smokers and nonsmokers. Between the dust exposed workers group and control, alsa between the high and low concentrations of dust exposed groups FEN 110,FEVI0%, FEF, FMF (p<0.01); between cigarette smoker control and cigarette smoker high and low concentrations of dust exposed groups FEV MVV, FEF (p<0.01), FMF (p<0.05); between nonsmoker groups and dust exposed worker groups FEF (p<0.01), between control group and high and low concentration of dust exposed groups FEVİ.0% (p<0.01) valves have been found significant. Il has been established that the obstructive type changes started on dust exposed groups and these changes speeded up by increase in dust concentralion however the cigarette and cement dust together had synergetic influence.
