The effective pathogens from the patients with urinary tractus infections and their isolation rates

İn this study, we evaluated urine samples of the patients who admitted to the microbiology laboratory of Selçuk University betvveen the years 1991 and January 2000. We determined the effective pathogens of urinary tract infections and their isolation rates. Totally 8901 (18.6%) effective pathogens were isolated from 47794 urine samples. Most freçuently isolated pathogens were E. coli (45.4%), S. aureus (11.4%) and Proteus spp. (10.2%).
