The Investigation of Cytomegagovirus (CMV) Antibody of The Delivered Mothers and Their Newborn infants

Sena were öbtained from 109 mothers who were in kibar and from the wnblical cord of the- ir newborn babies. CMV antibodies of the samples were deterrnined by ELLSA teehnique, These findings revealed that the serum of 32 (29,3%) and 13 (11,9%) mothers were CMV IgG- and 1gM pozilive, respectively.4-The serum of 25 (22.9%) newborn babies showed CMV IgG positive responses. Although, CMV specıfic 1gM response was not found in the serum of the newborn babies, but 11.9% CMV specific 1gM positive response of the »tothers implied health risk for the babies.
