The Management of Ipsılateral Femur and Tibia Fractures

During the seven-year period from 1983 to 1990, 15 patients with ipsilateral fractures of the femur and tibia were referred to Selçuk Üniversity, Faculty of Medicine, Research and Training Hospital. The etiology of injury, associated injuries, type of treatment, and encountered complications were reviewed from the patient's recıords. The patients ages were 13 years old to 56 years old (averaging 31 years old). Al! injuries were related to car accidents. Thirteen of 15 patients continued followup program regularly from 4 months, averaging 31 1/2 rnonths.
