Intrarnedullary nailing has the braadest applicatiorz for the fetnoral shaft fracture. Various cotrıplications of the fixation device may occur at the postoperative period_ A rare con2plications of femoral nailing is the bend nail. Removal of a grossly clefortned intratnedullary nail can create a serious surgical problem. A 17 year-old boy was referred us for evaluating, cornplaining of deformity of the thigh after he fell. Ile was initially operated at an outside hospital for the fernoral shaft fracture with (.2 Küntscher nail. There was a bend nail radiographically. This problem was corrected by cutting and removal of the bend nail. This is accompolished with special surgical procedure. After the removal of the bend nail, the fracture has been internally fixed with a Küntscher nail.
