Percutaneous nephrostomy was performed in patients with various kidney pathology in our clinic between january 1985 and july 1987. This procedure was performed in 50 patients. Our hand made guide wire was used in 28 of thern. Imported J guide wire was used in the others. Both kinds of guide wires and results are compared. Our hand made guide wire is found feasible for this purpose.
