The scolocidal solutions which are used in surgi-cal treatment of hydatid cysts such as forrrzaldehite (%2), hypertonic sodyum chloride (%20), povidone iodine (%1) and silver nitrate (%05) were performed to the biliary tract of 50 dogs each group including 10 dogs and the lesions were evaluated histopatho-logically and radiologically. As to the histopathologir findings of liver le-sions and cholangitis and radiological findings of sclerosing cholangitis, there was no significant dif-ference between scolocidal solutions groups (p>0.05) but the dillerence between scolocidal solutions and control group was significant (p<0.01). We concluded that ali scolocidal agents has toxic ellects to the liver and biliary tract.
