Treatment of Acetaminophen Poisoning with Cimetidine in Mice

This study was carried out to examine the possible protective effects of cimetidine administration on acetaminophen induced hepatic necrosis in mice. We h.ave observed a drometic protection effect against aceta-'nıinophen hepatotoxicity in cimetidine - treated mice. Cimetidine-treated animals had lower serum transaminases levels and they had less histologicol liver da.mage than those treated with acetaminophen aione.
