A prospective obstetric ultrasound snıdy were evaluated in 132 unconplicated pregnancies with gesiational ages rangingfrom 1 5-40 weeks.Biornetric measurements obtained including biparietal diameter (BPD), femur lenght (FL.), maximal transvers colon and small intestinaldiameter.Visibdity ratio of small intestine and colon in diğerent gestationages were detennined the panern of small intestinal peristalsis, presence of colonic haustra and progressive changes in the colonic intraluminal echogenicity were also evaluated. Visibility of the intestinal system, the measurement marium intestial lumen diameters, locolization of small bowel and colon in or ow offetal abdomen were important for evaluationofintestinal pathologies as Hirschsprung's disease, aıresia, volvulus, intuseption, meconiwn ileus and herniation. As a result of our studywe think chat presence of colonic haustra and intestinal perisıalsis, observation of int-raluminal echogenicity changes in the colonoffetuses in diflerent gestational ages were valuable in some cases.
