During nine years (1976 - 1985) 80 patients with upper extremity arterial injuries after shotgun, cunt trauma etc. were treated surgically. Earliest admission was two his and latest was 18 his. 66 of patients had uneventful recovery and 14 were palliated with acceptable results. This article emphasises the importance of such injuries and early admission to a vascular surgical unit.
