Betweeen 1976 and 1994, 76 patients were admitted ta our clinic as enıergencies with perıpheralveininjuries. 69 of these patients were ',lale and 7 were female. The time interval before hospitalization varied from 2 to 18 hours . All the patients received surgical treatment with salisfactory results. The lesson conveyed is that vein injuries should be considered as important as the arterial emergencies.
