Both auditory and visual evoked cortical po-tentials have been recorded in 52 amateur boxers. It has been clinically found that of these boxers, two had horizontal nistagmus, two had insecurity in do-sed-eye walking, one had psychotic reaction (%9.8). None of the visual evoked potentials has shown pat-hology. In the studies of auditory evoked potentials, it has been found out that the latency of the 5th wave in boxers showed pathological increase. Findings have been discussed in the light of the biome•hanics of chronical traumatic encephalopathy syndrome. It has been concluded that the evoked potential studies do not contruhute to the determination of chronic traumatic encephalopathy syndrome in its early stage.
