XANTHOGRANULOMATOUS PYELONEPHRITIS IN CHILDREN and ADULTS

A 9 - year - old girl and a 69 - year - old male with xanthofranulo-matous pyelonephritis vere presented. A 9 - year - old girl had an abdo-minal mass, which, was suspected of being a Willm's Tumor. xanthogranu-iomatous Pyelonephritis occurs in patients of al/ ages. Patients usually have a large non - functioning kidneys with, ealeuli. The females are pre-dominant. Xanthogranu/omatous Pyelonephritis in the ehildren is a rare phenomenon. xanthorganu/omatous Pyelonephritis is always associated with infee-tino (usually proteus) and there are some signs of obstruction. There has never been reported bilaterally.
