Aim: Temporary hemodialysis catheters inserted into the internal juguler vein are commonly used in patients who need emergent hemodialysis. During this procedure, although it is very rare, the patient may have anatomicaldifferences. Therefore, before the procedure, it should be studied whether the patient has any cardiovascular abnormality or not. Case report: Dextrocardia was detected in control chest X-ray of a 55 year old patient, who was in routine hemodialysis programme and had a history of 10 arteriovenous fistula operations and multiple transient and permanent catheter insertions because of chronic renal failure. Conclusion: For this reason, we suggest posteroanterior chest x-ray as the routine technique since it is the simplest diagnostic method.
