Özeti Chylothorax tüberküloz, kanser, kanser metastazı, travma, parazit gibi etiolojik faktörlere bağlı, şiddetli öksürük krizi ile, ductus thoracicus veya dallarının yırtılarak chylus mavisinin thorax boşluğuna akmasıdır. Bu makalemizde sözü edilen hastada, dustus thoracicusun thorax ve karındaki dalları, parazite bağlı olarak perfore olmuştur. Ender görülmesi bakımından yayınlanmıştır.

Chylothorax is the effusion of the chyle into thoracic cavity as a result of rupture of «ductus thoracicus» or branches there of due to a severer fit a coughing arising from such etiologic factors as tuberculosis, cancer, metastasis of cancer, trauma, parasite, etc. In the case in present article, abdominal and thoracic branches of «ductus thoracicus» have been per-forated due to parasites. This article has been published because the case is seen rarely.
