Özeti Bu çalışmada, Selcuk Ciniversiwsi Tip Fakaltesi Gogiis Hastaltklart Anabilim Dall'nda takip ettigimiz yac ortalantalari 45 olan 28'i erkek, 13'u kadin toplam 41 plorezili hastanin solunum fonksiyon testleri in-celendi. Solunurn fonksiyon parwnetrelerinden FVC, FEV , FEY lIFVC ye PEF'de torasentez sonrast saptanan degi§iklikler degerlendirildi. Torasentez sonrasi degerlendirilen solunum fonksiyon testlerinin tandinde istatistiksel olarak anlandi dikeyde artz§lar saptandt. calt§marniz plorezili hastalarda plevra ponksiyonunun solunum fonksiyonlarinda diizelme sagladcginz göstermektedir.

We investigated effects of thoracentesis on pul-monary function tests in 41 patients with pleurisy, at Chest Diseases Department of Selcuk University Medical Faculty. Of the pulmonary function parameters FVC, FE1/1 , FEV1IFVC and PEF were measured before and after thoracentesis. The values of these parameters determined after thoracentesis were wound increased significantly compared to the values before thoracentesis. Our results suggest that thoracentesis provides improvoment in pulmonary functions of the patients with pleurisy.
