Selçuk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Üroloji Anabi-lim Dalında 1985-1991 tarihleri arasında 45 selelaif yakaya değişik amaçlı 53 posterior lumbotomi uygu-landı. Selektif vakalardaki uygulama sonuçlarına 'göre posterior lumbotominin pelvis renalisdekii orta ve yukarı üreterdeld obstrüktif patolojilerin giderilme-sinde postoperatif komplikasyonların ve ağrınin minimal düzeyde olması, erken ambulasyon imkani. vermesi, insizyonal herni gelişmemesi gibi olumlu yönleriyle klasik ulaşımlara kiyasla çok daha avan-tajlı olduğu belirlendi.
