Spontan aşil tendon rüptürleri sık karşılaşılan durumlar değillerdir. Uzun süre sistemik kotrikosteroid kullanımına bağlı alt ekstremitede spontan aşil tendon rüptürleri gelişebilir. Bu çalışmada, Behçet hastalığı için sistemik kortikosteroid kullanımı sonrası günlük aktivite sırasında spontan aşil tendon rüptürü gelişen 43 yaşındaki erkek hasta sunularak spontan büyük tendon rüptürleri hakkında literatür bilgisi verilmektedir.
