In this study, groups include 121 (45.3%) physi-cians, 40( 14.9%) nurses, 29(10.9%) laboratory tech-nicians, 24(8.9%) trained nurse and 53(19.8%) me-dical students. While 28% of the health care ►vorkers considered themselves not to be in risk of HBV transmission, 61.7% of these have been investigated for HBV markers. 14.2% of the interviewed group and first degree relatives of 11.6% of the same group sustained hepatitis B infection. While half of physicians were given vaccine. the rate of infection seen in nurse aids. laboratory technicians and tra-ined nurses decreased to 20.8%. 58.1% of health care workers didn't describe control measures to prevent HBV transmission in the course of working. 15.0% of the interviewed people with the exception of physicians $vere not knowledgeable about trans-mission routes.
