İn our study, kVe have aimed to search the findings seen on the tissue specimens taken from the liver, kidney, ovary, testis and pancreas of many rats that have been poisoned by long- term high doses of florid. Twenty rats which belong to VVistar Albino species were being eçually separated into two groups, one is as the experimental group, the other as the control group [10 (5 male + 5 female) + 10 (5 male + 5 female)]. For a 17 weeks time, drinking water consisting of 1 ppm florid to control group and consisting of 150 ppm florid to experimental group has been given. Pieces taken from the tissue specimens of the liver, kidney, spleen, ovary, testis and pancreas were being examined under the light microscope. İn the experimental group, the following findings were being obtained: İn peripheral lobule of the liver, focal sinusoidal dilatations, in the portal area, lymphocyte infiltration; in hepatocytes a liftle hydropic and vacuolar degeneration; in the kidney either in proximal or distal tubule, a liftle hydropic degeneration were being determined. There hasn’t been seen any pathology in the spleen, ovary, testis and pancreas sections taken from the experimental group. As a result, it was determined that high doses of florid causes minimal structural changes primarily in the liver tissue and then in the kidneys, besides it has no considerable effect on the testis, ovary, spleen and pancreas tissue.
