The effect of cigarette smoking and age factor with obesity on PFT has been examined on 57 subjecis which 42 of them were control and 15 of them were obese. it has been established that the obesity caused obstructive and restrictive type of pulrnonary function defects, the cigarette srnoki. g rnight have been ellective on obstructive type change and there has been no significant correlation between PFT and ageing.
