Gelişme geriliği şikayeti ile başvuran ve ikiz eşi olan 12 yaşındaki bir kız çocuk ile gelişememe ve adet görememe şikayeti ile başvuran 20 yaşındaki bir diğer olgu Turner sendromu ön tanısı ile incelemeye alındı. ikiz olan eşi normal gelişime ve 46, XX karyotipe sahip olan birinci olgunun karyotipinin 45,X / 46, X, i (Xq); ikinci olgunun karyotipinin ise 46, X, i(Xq) olduğu tespit edildi. Olguların fizik muayene bulgulart ve karyotipleri birlikte değerlendirilerek, X kromozomunun yapısal anontalikrini içeren sendrontların klasik 45, X Turner sendrornundan ayırdedilmesinde fenotip-karyotip uyumunun önemi tartışıldı.
