Akut romatizmal ateş halen korumakta, büyük çoğunlukla romatizmal kalp hastalığı oluşmaktadır. Konuya bir katkı amacıyla son 16 yıl içerisinde polikliniğe başvuran akut romatizmal ateşli hastaların dosyaları retrospektif incelenerek akut romatizmal ateş ve buna bağlı sekellerin görülme sıklığı, araştırıldı.
