1989-90 sezonunda, 140 erkek ve bayan basket-bol oyuncusu yaralanma yönünden incelendi. Yara-lama insidansı erkekler için 13.7 yaralanma\takım\ yıl, bayanlar için 12.4 yaralanma1takımlyıl şeklinde Yaralanmaların çoğunun ayak ve ayakbileklerde olduğu ve erkeklerde %52.7, bayanlarda %54 oranında görüldüğü izlendi.
