Schwannom, benign, soliter, yavaş büyüyen kapsüllü bir tümördür ve myelinli sinir fibrilleri kılıfından köken alır. Periferik, spinal veya kranial sinirlerden gelişebilen bu tümör baş-boyun bölgesinde sıklıkla görülür. Otuzüç yaşında erkek hasta, kliniğimize sağ boyunda lokalize 10x6x6 cm boyutlarında dev kitleyle başvurdu. Kitlenin cerrahi rezeksiyonu sonrası yapılan histopatolojik inceleme ‘Schwannom’ olarak rapor edildi. Burada literatürde çok nadir rastlanan dev boyutlu schwannom olgusu ve tedavi yaklaşımları tartışılmıştır.
