Daptomisin; Siklik Lipopeptid Antibiyotiklerin İlk Ve Tek Üyesi

Daptomisin, siklik lipopeptidler olarak adlandırılan yeni bir antibiyotik sınıfının ilk ve tek üyesidir. Etki spektrumu, gram pozitif aerop ve anaerop bakteriler ile sınırlıdır. Metisiline dirençli S.aureus (MRSA), vankomisin orta duyarlı S.aureus (VISA), vankomisin dirençli S.aureus (VRSA) dahil stafilokoklara, vankomisin direnci bulunan E.faecalis ve E.faecium dahil enterokoklara ve penisilin dirençli S.pneumoniae dahil streptokoklara karşı etkilidir. Dünyada 2003 yılında kullanıma giren daptomisin, ülkemizde 2009’da ruhsatlandırılmıştır. Ülkemizde daptomisinin klinik kullanım endikasyonları diğer ülkeler ile aynı olup, komplike deri ve yumuşak doku enfeksiyonları (KDYDE), S.aureus bakteriyemisi ve S.aureus’a bağlı sağ kalp endokarditinden oluşmaktadır.
