4, 5 ve 6'ıncı aylara ait Yer adet toplam 15 insan fötusu kullanılarak Işık Mikroskobik Seviye de timus incelendi. Timus memeli dokular içinde en erken. hücre olgunlaşmasını sağlayan, immun sistemin ilk organıdır. T lenfositlerin olgunlaşnuı veridir ve muhtemelen bu olgımlaşma timus korteksinde baş-lamaktadır. 6. ava ait fötuslarda Hassa! korpüskül-lerinin hacimlerinin artmış olması bu çalışmanın en önemli farkıdır. Ayrıca B lenfositlerin (plasma hüc-relerinin) varlığı, T lenfositlerin B lenfositleri uyarmasmın yanı sıra timusun, humoral immun cevapta da önemli rolü olduğunun bir deliği olabilir.
