Distal femur epifizi sekonder ossifikasyon mer-kezi (DEE)'nin sonografik identifikasyonu ve öl-çümü 3. trirnestr gebelik yaş tayininde obs-tetrisyenler için güvenli ve pratik bir yöntemdir. DFE' nin görülme yaşı ortalama 32-33. haftadır ve gebeliğin 30-35haftalart arasında DFE ye sahip fe-tusların yüzdesi zamanla artar. DFE'nin ölçümü gebelik yaşı ile birlikte lineer olarak artış göstermektedir.
