Bunlardan hirincisi sa-yisal, fonksiyonel ye patolojik olarak cok onemli olan nükleer genler, ikincisi sitoplazmada yer alan ye her hir mitokondride 2-10 adet sirkiiler, gift-sarmalli DNA molektilft olarak hulunan mi-tokondrial genlerdir. 16.569 niikleotid cifti (nc) uzunlugunda olan ye total hücre DNA'sının yaklaşlk olu§turan insan mitokondrial DNA (traDNA)'situn dizi analizi tam olarak yapilmıştır.
