Kayıp Tiroid Nerede? Lingual Tiroid

Tiroid dokusunun embriyolojik gelişimi esnasında tiroglossal kanal boyunca migrasyonunda yetersizlik ektopik tiroid ile sonuçlanır. Lingual tiroid en sık ektopik yerleşimdir. Genellikle asemptomatik olmakla birlikte normal tiroid dokusunda görülen adenom, hiperplazi, inflamasyon ve malignite gibi durumlar ektopik doku için de söz konusu olabilir. Bu yazıda ultrasonografik olarak normal yerleşimde tiroid dokusu saptanmayan, sintigrafi ile dil kökü yerleşimli tiroidi olduğunu tespit edip, hipotiroidi sebebi ile replasman tedavisi başladığımız ve takibe aldığımız bir hastamızı nadir görülmesi sebebi ile bildirmek istedik.
