Lenf nodüllerindeki ekstrakapsüler tutulum prog-nozun zayıf olduğunun bir göstergesi sayılmaktadır. Nodüler fiksasyon ekstrakapsüler yayılımın bir göstergesi olup, hastada prognozu istatistiksel olarak düşüren bir faktördür. Diğer faktörlerden tümöral hücre diferansiasyonu ve metastatik nodül sayısı da prognoz üzerine etkili olup, burada ekstrakapsüler yayılımin prognoza olan etkisi literatürdeki retro-spektif araştırma sonuçları ile birlikte tartışılmıştır.
