Kullanılan bazı ilaç ve kimyasal ajanlar vıicutta bazı bölgelerde toksik etki oluşturabilmektedirler Ototoksik etki bunlardan önemli bir bölümünü oluşturur. Günümüzde kullanıma giren ilaçların artması ve bu ilaçların rastgele kullanılması ile bu istenmeyen yan etki giderek art-maktaılzr. Bunun için literatür incelenerek konunun önemi vurgulanrnaya çalışıldı.
