Cryptococcus Neoforrnans veya Torula Histolytica adı verilen bir mantar ile meydana gelen bu hastalığa Torulosis'te denmektedir. Vak'aların %80 - 85'i, 20 - 60 yaş arasındadır. Beyaz ırk ve erkeklerde sıktır. Burada, literatürümüzde nadir görülen bir pulmoner cryptococcus vak'amızı takdim ettik.
