Moleküler oksıjenden meydana gelen serbest ra-dikaller tıp alanında özel ilgi toplamaktadır. Oksijen radikallerinin üretildiği yerlerden biri olarak deri serbest radikallerin hasar yapıcı etkilerine karşı bir-hedef organ konumundadır. Bu derlemede radikal oksijen türleri ve derideki etkilerinin tanumna yer antioksidan savunma mekanizmaları ve olası yeni terapötik antioksidan ajanlara değinilmiştir.
