Bu çalışmada, tavşanın medulla spinalis'inin torakal segmentlerindeki gri maddenin sitoarkitektürü incelendi. Nöronların şekil, büyüklük, Nissl maddesi miktarı ve topografik yerleşimlerine göre, gri maddede toplam dokuz lamina belirlendi. Bu çalışmada kullanılan preparatlar Thionin (Nissl maddesi için) ve Luxol fast blue - Cresyl fast violet (myelin için) boyaları ile boyandı.
