Vena Cava Superior sendromuna yol açan medi-astinal kitlelerin %80-90'i malign tümörlerdir. Selim tümörler ve bunlardan substernal guatr nadiren V.Cava Superior sendromuna yol açar. Burada seyrek görülmesi nedeniyle V.Cava Superior sendromuna yol açan bir substernal guatr olgusu sunulmuştur.
