1977 - 1984 yılları arasında Dicle Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi ve Selçuk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanelerinde yabancı cisim aspire eden 120 hastadan bronkoskopi ile yabancı cisim çıkarılmıştır. Yabancı cisimler, 72 vakada sağ bronkustan, 45 vakada sol bronkustan çıkarılmıştır. 3 vakada yabancı cisim trakeada lokalize idi. Bütün vakalarda yabancı cisimler forseps ile çıkarılmıştır. Üç vakada Thoracotomy uygulanmıştır.
