1994 yilintn ilk 4 ayznda 15 inde retroksifoid, 5 inde transtrakeal yolla yapay pniimomediyasten (YP) yapnktan sonra mediyastenlerini bilgisayarlz tomografi (BT) ile inceledigimiz 20 olgu icinde il-ginc: giirdiigiimiiz iki akciger kanserli olgunun tak-dimini yaptyoruz. Bu iki olguda BT sonuclarzna gore turnorlerin operabl olup olmadtklarz hususunda te-reddiide du mu tiik. Birinci olguda YP li BT me-diyastende tumoral invazyonun olmadzginz giivenilir fekilde gosterdi. Ikinci olguda ise mediyasten in-vazyonunun indirekt helirtilerini ortaya koydu. Her iki olgudada yapilan torakotomi bu bulgulan dog-rulach. Sonuc olarak akciger kanserinde selektif va-kalarda YP ile komhine edilmi. BT nin operahilite tayininde yararlz olahilecegi kanzszna varildz.
