Bazı koroner arter anomalilerinin ani ölüm, angina pektoris ve myokard infarktüsü ile sonuçlanabileceğini gösteren birçok yeni çalışmadan sonra anorrnalilere ilgi artmış ve klinik önemi daha iyi anlaşılır hale gelmiştir. Koroner arterin anormal çıkışı yanında proksimal seyrindeki değişikliklerin de önemli olabileceği vurgulanmıştır (1,2,4).
